AIFF addresses Member Associations to dicsuss 2024-25 calendar

The members were also informed about the appointment of five zonal development referee officers.
AIFF President Mr. Kalyan Chaubey, along with the Acting Secretary General Mr Satyanarayan M held a meeting virtually with the senior office bearers of the Member State Associations on Friday, December 22, 2023, and extensively discussed several issues, including the calendar for the 2024-25 season, age-group football, forthcoming grassroots projects, referees, etc.
Addressing the meeting, Mr. Chaubey said, “I thank all the members for joining us to discuss all the important issues regarding the calendar for the year 2024-25, grassroots, referee development, Blue Cubs, and more.”
The state associations were informed about the suggested criteria for the IWL 2, I-League 3, Youth Leagues, Futsal Championships, and Beach Soccer while nominating teams from the respective states. Some of the associations suggested a few alterations in the proposed criteria. The AIFF Acting Secretary General promised to look into those suggestions and make necessary changes if need be.
Mr. Chaubey made some important suggestions regarding the streamlining of the calendar and requested the Member State Associations to come up with their suggestions on the issue.
The members were informed about the appointment of five zonal development referee officers with teaching knowledge, and the potential to implement Vision 2047 through their courses.
