Must continue to enhance our performance & strive for growth, asserts Sergio Lobera

Lobera believes his side is successfully meeting it’s objectives.
Odisha FC demonstrated yet another proficient performance in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 as they convincingly triumphed over Hyderabad FC with a resounding 3-0 victory at the esteemed Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The match commenced with both teams appearing evenly matched, but it was Odisha FC who seized control of the opportunities and successfully found the back of the net three times. Roy Krishna showcased his clinical skills by scoring two goals, the first in the 35th minute and the second in the 90+5 minute of play. Additionally, Mourtada Fall contributed to the scoreline by adding one goal in the 40th minute.
With the win, Odisha FC moved to the fourth place in the points table with 17 points from the nine games they have played so far.
Coach Sergio Lobera graced the pre-match press conference, exuding his satisfaction with the triumph, while also highlighting areas in which further refinement is required.
Odisha FC’s longest winning streak in ISL
Odisha FC has achieved an impressive undefeated streak in the Indian Super League, remaining unbeaten in their past five matches.
Coach Sergio Lobera said, “It is of utmost importance to maintain a sustained winning streak in order to achieve favorable outcomes. This is the primary objective we diligently work towards. However, it is equally crucial to engage in self-reflection and identify areas for improvement. We must continue to enhance our performance and strive for growth as not everything can be deemed exceptional.”
Further plans after being placed at four in the points table
With the win, Odisha FC are now placed at the fourth position in the points table. On a question regarding it, Sergio replied, “Every game holds its own uniqueness, making it impossible to draw comparisons between today’s game and past ones. Each game is distinct in its own way. The players’ performance has been commendable, and we must progress gradually.”
“Currently, we occupy the fourth position in the standings. It’s important to acknowledge that some teams have played more games while others have played fewer. Nevertheless, we find ourselves in a favorable position. I believe we are successfully meeting our objectives during this phase of the season”, he added further.
