After two entertaining matchdays, the focus now shifts to the third and ultimate group stage fixtures at the AFC Asian Cup 2023. The Indian football team will face-off against Syria in their next fixture of the continental championship.

Both sides come into the game after a defeat in their previous outing. Both teams can still possibly make it to the knockout rounds if they pull off a win over each other. It is going a be a high-stakes battle and one which will decide India’s future at the competition.

Apuia has been one of India’s unsung heroes. He is a very smart and clever midfielder who does his job silently. A good handler of the ball, Apuia is known for his composure and ball distribution.

He is very good at winning the ball in key positions and initiating the next stage of play. Moreover, he is also heavily involved in making crucial clearances, tackles and blocks.

Both India & Syria are expected to have a fully fit squad available for selection. Igor Stimac confirmed that all Indian football team players are fit & ready to play.

Igir Stimac shared his thoughts ahead of the game and said that it will be a crucial fixture for both the teams. 

“It’s the last game in the group. It will be a crucial game for both Syria and India as both teams are seeking a win to stand any chance for qualifying into the next round. It is expected to be a good game with good quality football and a good fight. We finally have a full squad available and as a coach I’m happy about that,” he asserted.
