Five youngest Indian football team players at AFC Asian Cup 2023

The 2023 AFC Asian Cup is set to commence. The Indian football team is prepared to confront the formidable Australian opponents in Doha. The team is composed of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, nine midfielders, and six forwards.
Among the 26 players in the squad, Suni Chhetri holds the distinction of being the eldest. At 39 years of age, the Indian star forward stands as one of the mainstays of the Indian team. There are also several young players who have secured a position on the roster.
Here is the list of five youngest Indian players in the AFC Asian Cup squad.
5. Lalchungnunga (23 years 17 days)
The 23-year-old defender Lalchungnunga has played only one match for India where he acted as a substitute in the final moments of play. He will remain determined to seize any opportunity that arises in the forthcoming matches.
4. Apuia (23 years 2 months 25 days)
Apuia or Lalengmawia Ralte, is one of the youngest players in the Indian squad. The 23-year-old midfielder has played 13 international matches for India thus far. His most recent appearances for the Indian football team was in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Kuwait and Qatar.
3. Suresh Singh Wangjam (23 years 5 months 4 days)
Suresh Singh Wangjam, aged 23, is among the players selected for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in the Indian squad. Since his debut in 2021, he has played 22 matches for India and notably scored a goal against Nepal in the 2021 SAFF Championship.
Apart from these three, Rahul KP is also a 23-year-old player who is in the squad as a midfielder.
2. Akash Mishra (22 years 1 month 15 days)
22-year-old Akash Mishra has consistently featured in the Indian squad in recent matches. However, he was an unused substitute in India’s last match against Qatar. Since making his debut in 2021, the defender has appeared in 24 matches for the Indian national team.

Vikram Partap Singh, the youngest player in the Indian squad, is yet to make his debut for the national side. However, if given the opportunity in the upcoming tournament, he will strive to seize it and deliver an outstanding performance.
