I-League 2023-24: Inter Kashi register seventh win

Mario Barco scored yet again for Inter Kashi in the I-League.

Inter Kashi registered their seventh win of the I-League 2023-24 campaign, a 3-1 victory against relegation strugglers NEROCA FC, at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Edmund Lalrindika put Inter Kashi in the lead in first-half injury time, before NEROCA’s David Singh equalised after the restart. However, Inter Kashi roared back with goals from substitute Mohammed Asif and Spanish forward Mario Vilar, to seal the deal.

This win props Inter Kashi up one place to fifth, as they now stand with 26 points from 17 games. However, their closest rivals, Shillong Lajong (25 points) and Delhi FC (22 points) both have two games in hand.

NEROCA, on the other hand, languish second from bottom, with seven points from 15 matches; this was their 12th defeat of the campaign.
