ISL 2023-24 : Points Table, Most Goals and Most Assists after Match 70, Hyderabad FC vs FC Goa

Unbeaten FC Goa lead the table.

The ISL second leg action has started from 31st January. The Gaurs return to the top of the table after the 70th match at the Gachibowli Stadium where they beat Hyderabad FC by two goals. FC Goa was always on the top from the start of the game against a much inferior opposition.

The Gaurs went ahead early in the first half with Carlos Martinez’s header from Brandon’s cross. Carlos doubled the lead by scoring a brace in the 29th minute of the first half. The game ended as FC Goa earned all three points which put them ahead of Kerala Blasters in the first spot. Although Kerala has played a match lesser than Manolo’s men.    

A brief look at the points table  

There has been a slight shift in the table as FC Goa now leads ahead of Kerala Blasters. FC Goa has accumulated 27 points from 11 matches, boasting 8 victories and 3 draws. Remarkably, they remain the only unbeaten team this season.

Kerala Blasters go down a spot playing a match less than the Gaurs. Kerala has 26 points from 12 matches. Odisha FC closely follows with 24 points from 12 matches. Mumbai City FC occupies the fourth spot with 22 points followed by Mohun Bagan Super Giant who have earned 19 points from 10 matches.

NorthEast United FC is currently in sixth place with 13 points, while Chennaiyin FC sits just below them in seventh place with 12 points. East Bengal and Bengaluru FC are tied on the table with 11 points each.

However, East Bengal holds the eighth position due to a superior goal difference compared to Bengaluru FC. Further down the standings, Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC, and Hyderabad FC occupy the 10th, 11th, and 12th positions, respectively.

Dimitrios Diamantakos of Kerala Blasters remains the leading goal-scorer, having netted 7 goals in 10 matches. Following closely, Odisha FC’s dynamic striker Roy Krishna holds the second spot with 7 goals, although he has participated in two additional matches compared to Diamantakos. Carlos Martínez Rodríguez comes up to the top 5 list after scoring a brace against Hyderabad FC.

There’s no change at the top of the list this week, with Rafael Schuler Crivellaro still leading with five assists in 12 games. Sahal Abdul Samad also holds onto the second spot with four assists.
