ISL 2023-24: Points Table, Most Goals and Most Assists after Match 82, East Bengal FC vs Mumbai City FC
After the win, Mumbai City FC have now accumulated 25 points from 13 matches.
Mumbai City FC registered their seventh win of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 by defeating East Bengal FC with 1-0 goal at the Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday.
Iker Guarrotxena scored the only goal of the match in the 24th minute of play for Mumbai to help them outclass the home team. With the win, Mumbai City FC took fourth place in the points table.
A brief look at the points table
Odisha FC remain at the top spot with 31 points from 15 games. They are closely followed by FC Goa who now have 28 points from 12 matches.
Kerala Blasters are currently positioned third with 26 points, even after their recent loss to Punjab FC. Mumbai City FC is the new number four in the points table after their win against East Bengal FC. They have accumulated 25 points from 13 matches.
Mohun Bagan slips to the fifth spot after Mumbai’s win with 23 points from 12 matches, while NorthEast United FC are sitting firmly at the sixth place.
Bengaluru FC hold seventh spot after their draw against Jamshedpur FC, while the latter remain at the eighth position in the ISL points table.
Punjab FC have moved two places upward and are now at the ninth place with 14 points from 14 matches after their recent win against Kerala. East Bengal FC remain at the tenth spot and Chennaiyin FC at the eleventh place.
Hyderabad FC remain as the bottom-placed club with just four points from 14 matches.
