Aleksandar Jovanovic- 7.0
Jovanovic stood out on the pitch. The Australian made important tackles throughout the contest to prevent goals.
Nikhil Poojary- 7.0
Nikhil Poojary had an impressive start, showing great determination on both the offensive and defensive sides of the pitch. He dominated the backline, successfully thwarting every half-chance from the CFC players.
Chinglensana Singh- 7.0
Sana was quite good at controlling the ball in the defensive channel. kept a cool head throughout the game and won many sparring battles against the Marina Machans’ unrelenting attacks.
Roshan Naorem Singh- 7.0
Roshan displayed a remarkable level of confidence as he confidently made impactful runs in the middle. He also made valuable contributions to his team’s defence when necessary.
Suresh Singh Wangjam- 6.5
Suresh’s performance in the first half of the game was rather lacklustre except a few runs with the ball towards the goal. As the match unfolded, his influence on the game grew, effectively driving his team forward.
Harsh Patre- 6.5
Harsh had a merely quiet day at the office in the first half, but in the second half, he displayed a noticeable increase in energy and actively pursued scoring opportunities, maintaining his momentum throughout the contest.
Shivaldo Singh- 6.5
The rookie had an impressive debut in the starting XI. He made an effort to combine well with his teammates and even created a couple of chances on the right channel. Taken off in the latter half.
Javi Hernandez- 8.0
Because he was able to break free so often, Javi was the biggest danger to CFC’s defensive. Despite getting the ball into some good scoring positions, they were completely outplayed in the latter third. Later was taken off in the second half.
Ryan Williams- 8.0
Williams looked deadly in the attacking third from the get-go, he chased down and scored BFC’s lone goal to seal the deal at their stronghold.
Sunil Chhetri- 6.5
Despite putting in a strong all-around performance, Chhetri unfortunately fell short of making the desired impact.
Substitutes
Oliver Drost- 6.5
Oliver Drost’s debut in the BFC jersey showed some talent with the ball, but he couldn’t match the influence that Javi Hernandez had on the game. Made some impressive passing in the final third but failed to convert.
Halicharan Narzary- 7.5
As BFC sought to increase their goal-scoring chances, Halicharan replaced Shivaldo Singh in the attacking lines. Came in and delivered good effort and also set up Ryan Williams for a stunning breakaway goal.
Lalrozama Fanai- N/A
Fanai put up a decent game and added fresh legs to the team.
Chennaiyin FC (by Dipro Mukherjee)
Debjit Majumder – 6
Debjit couldn’t do much to stop Ryan Williams attempt on the goal but did make a crucial save from inside the box.
Akash Sangwan – 5
The Chennaiyin left back experienced an eventful course on the left flanks throughout the game. He did make four interceptions but was the least impressive when it came to ball possession.
Sarthak Golui – 6.5
The Indian center-back was one of the key men for the Chennaiyin FC tonight. Sarthak made three crucial clearances and blocked an attempt from the home side. He also showcased an impressive success rate during aerial and ground duels.
Ryan Edwards – 7.5
The captain stepped up for his team in an exclusive fashion. Well-versed in his defensive duties, Ryan Edwards made four clearances and blocked two shots that came from Bengaluru’s strike force.
Ankit Mukherjee – 5
The right-back didn’t have much involvement in today’s game statistically though his heat map tells a whole different tale whatsoever.
Mobashir Rahman – 4.5
Mobashir was devoid of any valuable contribution and seemed lost in his movement. He was subbed off in the 58th minute of the game.
Rahim Ali – 7
The Indian winger made 11/11 accurate passes during the game. His header from the set piece went wide off the post. Rahim also dribbled past the backline once with his profound dribbling skillset.
Rafael Crivellaro – 7.5
The Brazillian linchpin, though he couldn’t get the much-needed equalizer, still had a menacing impact with his gifted left foot. He attempted twice to equalize for the Marina Machans with one of them just going wide off the far post.
Conor Shields – 7
Conor had a formidable presence tonight. Though he made only one attempt that went off target, still he was maneuvering the Chennaiyin FC strike force, creating space for his teammates to charge down upfront.
Ninthoingaba Meetei – 5
Meetei seemed a bit overwhelmed by Bengaluru’s Naorem Roshan Singh and had no key involvement throughout the course of the game.
Jordan Murray – 6
Chennaiyin’s target man seemed struggling on the frontlines being able to make only one attempt on the opposition’s goal and was also seen dropping down into the midfield quite a few times.
