Vikram Partap Singh’s brace helped Mumbai City beat Bengaluru FC in this ISL clash.

Mumbai City steamrolled past Bengaluru FC to register their eighth win of the Indian Super League season.  Winger Vikram Partap Singh scored the second brace of his ISL career to propel his side to this victory. With this win, the Islanders go past Kerala Blasters into the fourth position on the ISL table.

Mumbai registered their first goal in the 42nd minute through Vikram Partap, courtesy of an assist from Lallianzuala Chhangte, to give the home side an advantage at lemon break. In the 58th minute, the winger doubled the lead from an assist from new recruit Iker Guarrotxena, which was the decisive factor in putting the game to bed.

However, the game wasn’t as easy as the scoreline suggests, as Bengaluru’s Monirul Molla and Sunil Chhetri failed to convert two big chances. With this loss the Blues find themselves on the 10th spot with just 15 points from 16 games.
