With this win, the Islanders go past Kerala Blasters into the fourth position on the ISL table.

In the 58th minute, the winger doubled the lead from an assist from new recruit Iker Guarrotxena, which was the decisive factor in putting the game to bed. 

However, the game wasn’t as easy as the scoreline suggests, as Bengaluru’s Monirul Molla and Sunil Chhetri failed to convert two big chances. With this loss the Blues find themselves on the 10th spot with just 15 points from 16 games.
