They pulled off a hard fought draw in their last match against Bengaluru. And will face off against another in-form side Punjab FC on Thursday. Ahead of the game, Jamshedpur FC’s head coach Khalid Jamil addressed the media and shared his thoughts.

When asked about his success mantra, Jamil said that he focuses on motivating the players and that is how the results are achieved.

“I focus on motivating the players as I mentioned earlier. The results we achieve are a testament to their hard work. It’s a collaborative effort involving the management, players and everyone working together,” he asserted.

Speaking about his team’s morale, the head coach said that the players understand the importance of his game and are excited and confident.

“Everyone is confident and enthusiastic about performing. They understand the professional demands and the need to deliver. Regarding this match, they recognize its significance,” he quipped.

Thoughts on Punjab FC

Speaking about Punjab FC, Khalid said that they have been very good in the last few matches and have also scored 6 goals in their last two games.

“Observing their recent performance, they’ve been impressive in the last 3-4 matches, particularly scoring 6 goals in the last 2 matches. They are undoubtedly a strong team, so we must not underestimate them,” he revealed.

Thoughts on Siverio’s absence

Javier Siverio will miss this game and speaking about his unavailability, the former Indian international said, “Yes, Siverio is unavailable for this game, but he will return for the next one. We do miss him for this match, but we have other options to consider,”

Imran Khan’s performance

Imran Khan is one of the most consistently performing players under Jamil. Speaking about him, he said that Imran is a good listener and understands everything.

“When I arrived, I simply advised him to work hard and maintain a positive mindset. He’s a good listener, attentive to everything and with 2-3 years of experience, he understands. I provide motivation, and he is one of our best players, which is great. He just needs to continue working hard,” he said.

Sharing a message to the fans, Khalid Jamil said, “Yes, as I mentioned earlier, the fans play a crucial role in motivating the players. We require their support, whether we’re playing at home or away. Their backing is always important to us,”

Jamil also spoke about his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s game and said that it the most important match for his side.

“Yes, I’m focusing on tomorrow’s game, which is currently our most important match. It will be a tough game because our opponents are also in good form. Therefore, it won’t be easy, and we must fight for a positive result,” he signed off.
