NorthEast United head coach Juan Pedro Benali also spoke about his winger Redeem Tlang.
After a win in the previous outing against FC Goa, NorthEast United will take a trip to South to face Hyderabad FC on Monday evening. The Highlanders are currently high on confidence having won their previous game against an inform FC Goa.
Hyderabad FC on the other hand, have too many problems of their own, both on and off the field. Ahead of the match, NorthEast United head coach Juan Pedro Benali and player Redeem Tlang addressed the media.
Thoughts on Hyderabad FC
The head coach shared his thoughts Hyderabad FC and termed them to be a ‘dangerous side’ who play a good brand of football.
“Hyderabad for me is a very dangerous game. This game must be taken as a final because it’s a good team. They play good football, very fast football. The teams who won against Hyderabad suffered. It’s not an easy team at all. They have very good young talented players. They run a lot, move a lot. And if you let them play, they will kill you. It will be a very tricky game. They have nothing to lose, but everything to win,” he revealed.
Playing away from home
Juan Pedro Benali also spoke about playing away from home and said that it doesn’t make much of a difference on the field because it’s just the players and the referee who are there on the pitch during the game.
“I say to the players, there’s no difference between playing at home or playing away. The only difference is you travel and just the trip. But on the ground, it’s the same, there’s not too much crowd and pressure. Inside the field, it’s 11 versus 11 and the referee and nothing more. You need to play as per the game plan you have, believe in yourself, be hungry, and that’s the most important,” he asserted.
Thoughts on Redeem
The Spaniard was asked about his thoughts on Redeem Tlang and said that Redeem is a great player and an even better human being.
“Redeem is a great player and more than a great player, he’s a great person. He is now doing very well, he’s working very hard. I am proud of him and what he’s doing. For now, he’s in all the time. I hope he continues like this,” he quipped.

Top-six race
The winger spoke about the race for the top-six this season and said that there is a lot of competition, but his side will take it one game at a time.
“Yes, now we are fighting a lot to be in the top-six. There are a lot of teams, and we are fighting with 4-5 teams. It is important for us too. We have to prepare one match at a time. If we win, then it is good,” he mentioned.
