Punjab FC have now spiced up the ISL playoffs race.

Punjab FC secured their fifth win of the ISL 2023-24 season by defeating NorthEast United at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on Thursday. 

Wilmar Jordan Gil was the only goal-scorer of the match, who converted a penalty in the 63rd minute.

A brief look at the points table 

Odisha FC remain at the top spot in the ISL 2023-24 table with 35 points from 18 games, while Mumbai City FC have taken the second place with 35 points from 17 matches. 

Mohun Bagan are third in the table with 33 points from 16 matches followed by FC Goa in fourth place with 32 points from 17 matches. Kerala Blasters FC remain at fifth position with 29 points from 17 matches.

Bengaluru FC have moved to the sixth place after their recent win. They have accumulated 21 points from 18 matches.

Jamshedpur FC are seventh with 20 points from 18 matches. NorthEast United FC remain eighth with 20 points from 18 matches, while Punjab FC have now taken the ninth place with 20 points from 18 matches. 

East Bengal are at the 10th spot with 18 points from 18 matches, while Chennaiyin FC are at 11th with 18 points from 17 matches.

Hyderabad FC remain as the bottom-placed side with just five points from 18 matches.

5. Sahal Abdul Samad (Mohun Bagan) – 4 assists
