Striker Aniket Jadhav set for three-month long trial stint at Blackburn Rovers

The youngster is currently contracted to Jamshedpur FC but is on loan with Indian Arrows.

Indian Arrows striker Aniket Jadhav will go on a 3-month training stint at the facility of Blackburn Rovers. The Blue and Whites are currently playing in the EFL Championship, the 2nd division league in England.

Blackburn Rovers is one of the six winners of the Premier League, having won it back in 1995. They are owned by the Pune based Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group.

The Indian U17 World Cup star is contracted to Jamshedpur FC is expected to leave during or after the Super Cup. The striker said, “I would like to thank Blackburn Rovers FC for believing in me and my ability and inviting me to train at their world class academy. I am very thankful to Mr. Balaji Rao Sir for this opportunity."

He added, "I would also like to thank Jamshedpur FC who have been very supportive of this opportunity and have assured their complete support.”

The striker played every game and started two of the three games at India's debut at any FIFA event, the U17 World Cup they hosted in 2017.

Mukul Choudhari, the CEO of Jamshedpur FC said, “We are very happy for Aniket. Infact, very rarely Indian football players get such an opportunity and if they get it at this age, it is just fantastic!"
