The defending champions survived a massive scare against debutants Cape Verde in their last-32 encounter and will look for a smoother result against the Pharaohs.
La Albiceleste started their campaign with shutout wins against Algeria (3-0) and Austria (2-0), before beating debutants Jordan 3-1 to top Group J without breaking a sweat.
However, the three-time champions were stunned by Cape Verde in the Round of 32, with the African side equalising twice to take the match to extra time, although a late own goal sealed the win for the South Americans.
With Colombia or Switzerland waiting for tonight’s winners, La Albiceleste will look to get a positive result against Mohamed Salah and Co.
