Both teams are in a good run of form…
Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in an eagerly anticipated North London Derby. The Gunners are three points ahead of their North London rivals and could earn a sizeable six-point lead with victory at Emirates Stadium. Victory for Spurs, however, a win will lift their spirits and will get them back to winning ways after having been frustrated since their 2-0 win over Manchester City, notching up four draws and one loss in all competitions. The Lilywhites - who have often been referred to as the perennial underachievers as they have finished below Arsenal in the Premier League for 21 straight-years - have surged up the table in recent years and are now legal title contenders as they showed last season and are showing this season being the only team unbeaten in the league. Spurs have struggled to source a clinical edge in recent weeks but being defensively more resolute and with the return of Harry Kane they would be hoping to win bragging rights over their North London rivals. Team News The Gunners are confident of having Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal back in the squad to take on their arch-rivals on Sunday. Harry Kane is battling to be fit to face the Gunners but Toby Alderweireld is unlikely to be ready in time. Erik Lamela is out with a hip problem and Mousa Dembele is a doubt after twisting his ankle in the 1-0 loss against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League. Head to Head The Gunners have scored at least once in 42 of their last 43 meetings with Tottenham in all competitions. Indeed, Tottenham have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 14 league meetings with Arsenal. Man to Watch Mesut Ozil-Arsenal: Mesut Ozil has been in stellar form for Arsenal this season and scored a spectacular late winner against Ludogorets in the Champions League on Tuesday. The Germany playmaker has enjoyed an outstanding campaign so far, and has added goals to his game after taking on a more attacking role in manager Arsene Wenger's plans. Harry Kane-Tottenham Hotspur: Harry Kane who has been sidelined through injury since Spurs’ 1-0 Premier League win over Sunderland in September will be looking to make his presence felt on Sunday. He has scored four goals in three games against the Gunners and is a threat, both aerially and with his feet. =Probable Line-ups Arsenal: Cech; Monreal, Koscielny, Mustafi, Bellerin; Cazorla, Xhaka; Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez; Giroud. Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Rose, Vertonghen, Dier, Walker; Wanyama, Winks; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane. Broadcast: The match will be telecast live on the Star Sports network and on Hotstar.Preview by Pratyush Mishra . An Engineer In Making and a nutty football lover.
