Arsenal will travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa in a Matchday 2 fixture of the English Premier League 2026-27 season on Monday night. The Gunners, who began their title defence in style with a solid victory over Coventry City, will look to maintain their 100% record in the league tonight.

Goals from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Odegaard ensured a 3-0 home win for Arsenal on August 21. Mikel Arteta’s side has made a flying start to the new campaign, also lifting the FA Community Shield before the start of their league campaign.

For Aston Villa, the opening gameweek could not have gone much worse. Unai Emery’s side conceded four times in the first half of their match against Brighton & Hove Albion. Although they did well not to concede any further goals in the second half, the 4-0 loss was a damning indication of how far the Villans have fallen after losing several key players over the summer.

The hosts will face an even tougher test against the defending champions, with the Gunners once again the favourites to lift the Premier League trophy. Arteta will hope that his new signings, including Christos Tzolis, enjoy playing against an out-of-form opponent tonight.
