The Villans are on a two-match winning run against the Cityzens!
Aston Villa are all set to battle it out against Manchester City for their eighth matchweek fixture of the English Premier League 2026-27 season. This can turn out to be a high-voltage clash, taking place at Villa Park.
With two wins in their first seven games of the English top division this season, Unai Emery’s men are in 12th place on the points table. After an underwhelming start to the season, Aston Villa are slowly gaining momentum and have displayed some top performances. They came out on top to secure three points in their previous league game against Newcastle United.
The Villans will be looking to extend their winning run and being at home is surely going to help them out. The upcoming contest is all set to be a tough challenge for them.
The Enzo Maresca-led side have been in a top run of form in the Premier League 2026-27 campaign. They are on a seven-match winning streak in the competition and will be looking to keep things the same way. The Cityzens surely need to work on their defence, which has looked quite vulnerable in their last league outing against Ipswich Town.
Despite being away from home, Manchester City will be confident. They have lost both of their last two matches against the Villans and will be looking to turn the tide around.
