Atletico de Madrid are all set to battle it out against FC Barcelona for their 12th matchweek fixture of the La Liga 2026-27 campaign. The Riyadh Air Metropolitano will witness this high-voltage clash.
The Diego Simeone-led team are performing very well in the Spanish top division at the moment. In their first 11 games of the season, they have secured 9 wins and only lost 1 of their matches. Atletico Madrid are coming off a 0-2 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich in their recent Champions League outing and it might put a dent in their momentum.
Los Colchoneros will be at home and must make sure to control the game from the beginning. They should also not allow many chances to the aggressive Barca team.
After suffering a defeat in the El Clásico, Hansi Flick’s men made a strong comeback with a 6-1 win against Alavés in La Liga and a 3-0 victory against Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League. FC Barcelona are still at the top of the points table, Real Madrid are giving them a tough title fight with similar points on the board.
The Blaugrana will be pushing for a win and this will give them a 3-point lead over the Merengues. They are going to be the visiting team and this will put them under slight pressure.
