The Rojiblancos are coming off a disappointing domestic campaign in which they finished fourth. They have made some significant additions to their roster to challenge for the league title.
Atleti signed four first-team players in the summer transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Kang-In Lee and Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero joined recently. Meanwhile, Alejandro Grimaldo and Morten Hjulmand have also signed.
