Barcelona name squad for pre-season tour of England ft. Frenkie de Jong & Marc-Andre Stegen

The Catalan side will embark on pre-season in preparation for the next campaign.
Barcelona will base their camp at St. George’s Park in Birmingham and will play two pre-season friendlies during that time, one against Birmingham City and the other against Preston North End, both of which will be played behind closed doors.
The squad list for Barcelona’s trip to England has been released, and it includes some fascinating surprises.
In fact, captain Marc-André ter Stegen, who isn’t in the manager’s long-term objectives, will go to England with the rest of the group.
Meanwhile, despite being sidelined with a major knee injury, midfielder Frenkie de Jong is going with the team.
The Dutchman arrived from the World Cup with an injury and is anticipated to be sidelined for four to five months, but he will travel to England to complete his treatment.
Fermin Lopez and Ronald Araujo, both recuperating from injuries, are in the squad.
Given the unavailability of many senior first-team players due to World Cup commitments, Flick has called up many young academy prospects from La Masia.
The travelling team includes goalkeepers Aron Yaakobishvili and Iker Rodriguez, as well as midfielders Alvaro Cortes, Xavi Espart, Hector Fort, Jofre Torrents, and Jordi Pesquer.
Meanwhile, the midfielders include Orian Goren, Brian Farinas, Tommy Marques, Ibrahim Diarra, and Guille Fernandez.
In attack, Hamza Abdelkarim, Oscar Gistau, Tony Fernandez, Alex Gonzalez, and Ebrima Tunkara have all been called up, as has new acquisition Karim Adeyemi.
Raphinha, who remains on holiday, will not be on the roster, but will join the squad in England.
