On the ball from minute one and dominating throughout - a short sentence that aptly summarises FC Bengaluru United’s performance in their first game of the BDFA Super Division Campaign against Income Tax. Played under grey skies and chilly winds at the Bangalore Football Stadium, FC Bengaluru United registered an emphatic 8-1 win to kick off their campaign in style.
FC Bengaluru United were on the attack from the very first minute of the game, asserting their supremacy right away. Asrar got them on the scoreboard in the 15th minute with a penalty and the floodgates opened after that. Opportunities were created at will and capitalized on with a mix of smart play and aggressive tactics. Income Tax scored in the 40th minute courtesy in a defense lapse, perhaps the only time their opponents faltered.
At half time FC Bengaluru United were in front at 3-1 and they further stamped their authority in the second half, scoring at regular intervals. A measure of their commanding performance was that even when the substitutes came on towards the end of the game, the scoring did not falter - with Chaithan and Naro both scoring in the final minutes of the game.
