Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Portuguese international Raphaël Guerreiro from FC Lorient for a reported fee of €12m. The Left-Back has signed a four-year deal through to 2020.
Dortmund Sporting Director Mochael Zorc confirmed the acquisition saying, “"Raphaël Guerreiro is a skillful player who feels at home in a wide range of positions.”
The versatile left-sided player who can play in both defence and attack was a key protagonist for Lorient last season and racked up 102 appearances in his three seasons with the French club scoring 10 goals. He has also notched seven appearances for his country scoring twice. Guerreiro, who is on international duty at Euro 2016 with Portugal, will join his new club on 1st July, 2016. This is BVB’s sixth signing of the summer after the earlier arrivals of Sebastian Rode, Emre Mor, Marc Bartra, Ousmane Dembélé and Mikel Merino.
