Ruben Amorim has provided an update on Mason Mount’s injury. In Boxing Day’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle, the 26-year-old Manchester United star was substituted off at halftime.
For the second half, Jack, the son of Darren Fletcher, took his place. 21-year-old Patrick Dorgu scored the only goal of the match in the first half, sealing all three points with a well-hit volley.

Amorim gave United supporters some good news by confirming that the Mason Mount substitution was primarily preventative.
The Red Devils boss said: “He felt something at half-time.”
“He wanted to go, and that is also a good thing.”
“He wanted to go in the second half, but cannot lose more players, and if you are not 100 per cent, Jack did a very good job.”

Due to a muscle ailment, Bruno Fernandes is anticipated to miss many weeks of action for United.
Due to a calf injury, Kobbie Mainoo has missed United’s last two games, but his return could be against Wolves.
