Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have ruled Germany’s Bundesliga. Having clinched a total of 24 league titles in 28 Bundesliga seasons. Because of their long-standing rivalry, Der Klassiker is popularly referred to as the German El Clasico.
It all started in 1965 when Dortmund earned their first win against Bayern Munich. The rivalry was considered healthy at the time, but it heated up in 1990.
