The Canada vs Morocco match will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, tonight.
Canada take on Morocco in their Round of 16 fixture in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on July 4. The Atlas Lions are looking to recreate the immense success that they enjoyed in the last edition, but will face a tough test from the Canucks in tonight’s match.
Canada finished second in Group B, which meant they became the first host in World Cup history to play a game outside their borders. The Canucks booked their place in the last 16 in a dramatic manner. Stephen Eustaquio’s 92nd-minute header sealed a 1-0 win over South Africa in their Round of 32 clash.
Morocco, meanwhile, needed a penalty shootout to beat the Netherlands in the last 32. Issa Diop’s stoppage-time header cancelled Cody Cakpo’s opener, sending the match to extra time. When a winner was not found after 120 minutes, the match went to spot kicks, with the North African side winning 3-2.
Having already beaten the Canucks 2-1 in the 2022 edition, the Atlas Lions will be the favourites to seal their place in the quarter-finals.
