Celtic vs LASK Linz: Full lineups confirmed for UCL 2026-27 Playoffs
This match will be their Leg 1 encounter of the UCL play-off round.
Celtic will host LASK Linz at Celtic Park on Wednesday, August 19 (BST), for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 qualifying play-off round. Both sides have enjoyed flawless starts to their respective domestic campaigns and will seek to carry that form to the continental stage.
After a dramatic win over Hearts on the final day to clinch the Scottish Premiership last season, Celtic have made a bright start to their league campaign. The Bhoys have beaten Dundee FC (1-0), Kilmarnock (5-1), and Dundee United (4-0).
LASK Linz, too, have enjoyed a 100% win record in the Austrian Bundesliga, having won all four of their games. The Black-Whites are coming into tonight’s fixture after a solid 4-1 win over SV Ried, despite playing the final 16 minutes with 10 men.
Celtic last played a Champions League match in February 2025. They missed out on last season’s tournament after losing to Kairat Almaty in the play-off knockout round. LASK, on the other hand, have never featured in the group phase of the Champions League, having last appeared in the qualifiers six years ago.
