The Red Machines will be looking to register a first win after a defeat in the opening match...

After a narrow defeat at the hands of Mohun Bagan in Kolkata, Churchill Brothers Sports Club will be looking to grab all three points in front of their home supporters when they will lock horns with Mumbai FC in the I-League match at Tilak Maidan, Vasco tomorrow.

While, Mumbai are high on confidence after a 1-0 win against DSK Shivajians. Like Churchill, Mumbai also played their match without any foreign player but did a fantastic job to snatch all three points from Shivajians.

Team News

It will be difficult for Churchill head coach Alfred Fernandes to choose his best XI as the squad is not fully ready as the club has only signed 25 players till now. The only good news for the Goan side will be the availability of Nigerian striker Anthony Wolfe. The possible line-up for Churchill will be similar to the squad that Alfred fielded in the match against Mumbai. However, he might think of adding Wolfe to his starting XI.

While, except for the defender Allen Dias who is injured, Mumbai coach Santosh Kashyap will have every player at his disposal and he is likely to field the same starting XI from the last match against Shivajians.

Head-to-Head

The Red Machines has the better history over Mumbai, as the Goan outfits have won five times out of 12 outings, while Mumbai has won only three times. Other four matches were settled for draws.

 Man to Watch

Adil Khan- Churchill Brothers:  Though the coach Alfred did not allow him to play in his favourite position in the last match, the defensive midfielder played an excellent as centre-back. The former Dempo player was fantastic in the last match and made it difficult for Bagan forwards to break the defensive wall. He almost won every aerial duel. He is most likely to play the same role pairing with Rowilson Rodrigues, at least until the coach finds a strong foreign player option to replace him. With his strong physic, clinical inceptions and ability to win the aerial duels, he will be difficult to break in the defense for the metropolis club.

Pratik Chowdhary–Mumbai FC: The defender played an outstanding role to stop Shivajians forwards from scoring in the last match.  He is known for clinical clearances and with his pace and quick reflexes, he is almost impossible to overlap. The 28-year-old will be in-charge of the defense line when they will take on the Red Machines and he can be a nuisance for the Churchill’s frontline.

Probable Line-ups

Churchill Brothers: (4-5-1) Priyant Singh (GK), Adil Khan, Rowilson Rodrigues, Keenan Almeida, Seriton Fernandes, Surchandra Singh, Anthony D'Souza, Brandon Fernandes, Kingslee Fernandes(U22),  Anthony Wolfe, Satish Singh.

Mumbai FC: (4-4-1-1) Pratik Chowdhary, Shallum Pires, Khangenban Thois Singh, Reegan Singh, Victorino Fernandes, Pratesh Shirodkar, Farukh Choudhary (U22), Siam Hanghal, Steven Dias, Laxmikant Kattimani (GK), Lalchawnkima.
