The stage for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final is almost set. After a tiring semifinal bout against England, defending champions Argentina are getting ready to face Spain in the summit clash on Sunday, July 19, at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.
Players from 48 different nations were part of the tournament when it started; however, only two teams remain as of now. Thus, let’s take a look at the top five clubs with the most players in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final.

Spain’s Pedro Porro has scored twice in the tournament, against Austria and France. He has been one of La Roja’s breakout stars of the campaign.
4. Arsenal: 3 players

The Premier League champions have three players in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, and all of them will play for La Roja. Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino has scored two very crucial goals for Spain as a super sub, while Martin Zubimendi and David Raya have not made a single appearance in the whole tournament under Luis de la Fuente.

3. Athletic Bilbao: 3 players

Athletic Bilbao’s star winger Nico Williams’s tournament game time has been affected by fitness concerns. He has only played 63 minutes in the FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, Aymeric Laporte has been Spain’s top performer in the backline.
Most importantly, Unai Simón has created World Cup history by keeping six clean sheets in seven matches. He also set a World Cup record for the most consecutive minutes without conceding a goal: 650.
2. Barcelona: 8 players

La Liga giants Barcelona have eight players in the FIFA World Cup final. Lamine Yamal has been Spain’s top-choice left winger, while Dani Olmo has also solidified his position in the midfield. Pau Cubarsí has arguably been the side’s best young player in the campaign so far, while Pedri, Ferran Torres, and Gavi have also gotten minutes.
Joan García and Eric García have been on the bench for the whole campaign, waiting to be called on the pitch for their first game.

Atletico Madrid have the most players in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. Giuliano Simeone has started two games for La Albiceleste, while Nico González has gotten minutes as a substitute. Julián Álvarez has been promoted in the pecking order ahead of Lautaro Martínez by Lionel Scaloni, while Nahuel Molina has also been a regular. Thiago Almada has also got a few minutes.
On the other hand, Marcos Llorente has started two games for the 2010 champions, while Alex Baena scored Spain’s only goal in the group stage against Uruguay. Marc Pubill and Alejandro Grimaldo have been on the bench.
