In his post, Lionel Messi stated that he was determined to win the World Cup for his father and admitted he lacked strength because he could not push himself physically.
Messi’s father, Jorge Messi, died last week, aged 68. He had been battling disease for quite some time and was in bad health. The 39-year-old Messi, who led Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2026, will remain in Argentina for an indefinite time and will be out of football action.
