Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez plan to marry this weekend in Madeira, where the former was born and grew up.
Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the world’s renowned footballers, has selected the five-star hotel Savoy Palace in Funchal to celebrate their wedding after nearly a decade together with his girlfriend.
Georgina will go down the aisle in Funchal Cathedral, located in the capital’s historic centre and seating roughly 800 people.

The 41-year-old football player and 32-year-old influencer will drive or walk five minutes to the opulent hotel, which has six swimming pools, a spa, expansive vistas, many five-star restaurants, and round-the-clock service. All after their marriage ceremony in Funchal Cathedral.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his family are booked to stay in ‘The Reserve,’ the hotel’s opulent “hotel-within-a-hotel” on the upper floors. It is priced at £1,100 per night. Cristiano Ronaldo and his family have already been spotted at the Savoy Palace.
Ronaldo’s wedding place has five-star facilities
The Jacarandá Lounge & Club, which has a private rooftop infinity pool, a solarium, exclusive dining, and a personal butler, is one of the family’s privileged private areas.
The couple may decide to hold their wedding in one of the hotel’s opulent venues, such as the sky-kissed Galáxia rooftop areas or the magnificent Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
A massive 33-foot-tall metal chandelier with fresh flower arrangements underneath is a showpiece of the grand entrance.
Ronaldo and Georgina will then walk down the huge curved filigree-shaped stairs that lead to the 18-meter swimming pool after passing through the hotel’s opulent green bar. There, a pianist performs in the afternoons.
The pair will enjoy views of the ocean, walk-in wardrobes, a private bathroom and a deluxe pillow menu. Further, housekeeping will deliver them their favourite dishes within the 352-room Savoy Palace.
Ronaldo has close ties to Madeira, where a bronze statue honouring him is a popular tourist destination. He also has his own museum, Museu CR7, and a hotel called the Pestana CR7 Funchal Hotel.
