Liverpool are travelling to Selhurst Park for their tenth matchweek contest of the English Premier League 2026-27 campaign. They will battle it out against Crystal Palace in what can turn out to be an interesting outing.
Crystal Palace find themselves languishing in the relegation zone with seven points in nine games so far. The South London outfit have won just a solitary fixture in their last seven games. They are coming off a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, where they were reduced to ten men early on in the game.
The Eagles are navigating through difficult times both in the English top tier as well as in the UEFA Europa League. After Oliver Glasner’s departure, Pierre Sage took over. In 15 games, he has managed to win just five games and has clocked 1.2 points per game so far.
Despite defeats in the last two games, Liverpool find themselves placed fifth in the English top tier with 15 points in nine games. They lost 1-0 to Arsenal before going down 3-2 to Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
Their away form, however, has been pretty solid, winning all of their last three away games and conceding only once so far. Iraola will be keen to get back to winning ways with a win over struggling Crystal Palace in London.
Players to Watch
Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace)
As the Eagles find themselves in tumultuous times, the Japanese midfielder will have big responsibilities on his shoulders to lead the midfield and help the South London outfit get back to winning ways. Kamada’s intervention in the stoppage time saw Crystal Palace earn a valuable point against Hoffenheim in UEL.
In the English top tier, Kamada has featured in nine games and has four goal contributions, including a goal and three assists.
Bradley Barcola (Liverpool)
The French winger is yet to find his name in the score sheet so far for Liverpool. He has given two assists in seven games in the English top tier. He scored a hat-trick against LASK in the UEFA Champions League clash, a couple of weeks ago in Austria.
He started the last two games for Liverpool that ended in a defeat. He will be up against American defender Chris Richards in a three-man defensive setup. His sudden bursts of acceleration inside the final third make it difficult for defenders to tackle cleanly.
He often ends up winning set pieces in dangerous positions.
