Andreas Schjelderup broke the deadlock for Norway against England.
England are currently facing Norway in the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With their eyes on the biggest prize, the Three Lions have been keen on winning every single game with conviction. Facing the dark horses of the summer competition, Norway, Thomas Tuchel’s men started playing high-pressing football as soon as the game got underway.
Anthony Gordon, who has started the game over Marcus Rashford on the left wing, has tried to create chances for the frontman, Harry Kane, who has been the side’s top goalscorer in the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Both sides are expected to play physical football, while the Three Lions will continue to press heavily by keeping possession. Until the first hydration break, the deadlock remained unchanged as Thomas Tuchel’s men missed a couple of big chances. Soon, Andreas Schjelderup scored the first goal of the match.
However, many celebrities, sports personalities, and former football players have taken their time out to see the star-studded clash at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Tennis legend Venus Williams and former English captain David Beckham are a few of the top names.

Major League Soccer side Inter Miami’s co-owner, David Beckham, is at Rock Hard Stadium with his family. The former Manchester United midfielder was seen sitting alongside his wife, Victoria Beckham, and son Romeo Beckham.
Apart from the former, the Three Lions’ skipper, seven-time Wimbledon ladies’ singles champion Venus Williams, is also in attendance alongside her husband, Andrea Preti, for the England vs Norway clash.
Meanwhile, FIFA president Gianni Infantino was seen sitting alongside Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon Magnus, who was elated after Andreas Schjelderup broke the deadlock.
Brazil football icon Roberto Carlos is also at the Miami Stadium for the quarterfinal clash. He was spotted sitting alongside Marco Materazzi and John Arne Riise.
Ronaldo Nazario and Kaka are also present in the stadium.
Nevertheless, the winner of the game will face the winner of the last semifinal clash between Argentina and Switzerland.
