Molina not worried by high-flying Delhi Dynamos...
Atlético de Kolkata head coach Jose Molina is unfazed by the prospect of facing a high-flying Delhi Dynamos FC side at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Delhi are going into the match on the back of three successive wins but Molina, whose team lost their last match against FC Pune City, is not overly worried about their opponents who have scored 16 goals from nine matches. “We prefer to win every match. To lose in Pune was not the best result for us but that is football. We know every match is different. We trained during the week in Kolkata and we had time to prepare. We know it will be a difficult match because they are top of the table and Delhi are maybe the best team in the league right now. But we want to be there tomorrow, and we will fight and try to win,” Molina told reporters on Saturday. The last time these two teams met in this season, ATK came out on top through an Iain Hume penalty soon after Marcelinho's miss from the spot for Delhi. When asked if he had some special strategy in place against Gianluca Zambrotta's men, the Spaniard said: “It's not the same playing against an attacking team or defensive team. There are some things that need to be done differently. But we want to play our style, which is the most important thing to us. We should play how we want and not how the opponent wants and that is the key and that's what we will try to do.” Delhi by far have been the best attacking team this season with players like Marcelinho, Richard Gadze, Kean Lewis and Badara Badji in rampant form, and then in their last game against defending champions Chennaiyin FC marquee man Florent Malouda also came into his own by scoring twice and providing two assists. When asked how he was planning to stop the deadly duo of Marcelinho and Malouda, the 46-year-old said: “We are going to play against Delhi, not against one or two players. We are playing against a good team, Marcelinho and Malouda are two of them but they have other good players too. We will try to play well, we will try to attack and when we do not have the ball we will try to defend as a team.” ATK at present have 12 points from eight games and could solidify their position in the top four with a win tomorrow. However, they will have to fix some of their defensive issues that has seen them concede eight goals in nine games. Commenting on that, Molina said: “I think mistakes are part of the game. Nobody is perfect, but we are trying to improve. I think everybody commits mistakes, it's part of the game. We are training every day and trying to improve, but everyone makes mistakes. Delhi Dynamos are top of the table right now and possibly the best team in the league but even they make mistakes sometimes. The important thing is to try and learn and not do it again. And another important thing is luck because sometimes you make mistakes and the opponent does not take advantage but another time they do. We work every day and try to improve, we try to be perfect. Being perfect is very difficult and almost impossible but we keep trying.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Report and Phot0 © ISL MediaLatest News
