Drake in attendance for Portugal vs Croatia FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 clash

Portugal are currently facing Croatia in the round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the Toronto Stadium in Canada. Both sides are aiming to win the match and secure a berth in the next round, where we will be facing Spain, who have not conceded a single goal in four games in the ongoing World Cup.

The deadlock in the marquee clash was broken by Croatian veteran Ivan Perisic in the 53rd minute, when he netted the ball from a left-footed strike, leaving Diogo Costa completely stunned.

A few minutes later, a goal by Cristiano Ronaldo was disallowed due to being offside. However, Portugal managed to score an equaliser after VAR confirmed that Renato Veiga was fouled in the penalty box by Nikola Vlasic. Portuguese veteran Cristiano Ronaldo converted the goal from the penalty spot before being substituted later in the game.

To give the Portuguese side a lead, Gancalo Ramos scored in the added time. However, to witness the intense clash, Canadian rapper Drake is at the Toronto Stadium.

The famous rapper has come to see the round-of-32 clash between Portugal and Croatia, which will be the last FIFA World Cup game for either Cristiano Ronaldo or Luka Modric. However, when the camera moved to the famous rapper, he was seen using his phone.

The Canadian rapper and singer has been a huge fan of sports, often posting bets on various teams and players.

As per the Manchester Evening News, he was once asked to choose between Ronaldo and Messi, to which he replied:

“Ah man, that’s a sticky one. For me, probably Ronaldo, to be honest.

Apart from Drake, former Croatian striker Davor Šuker is also present in Canada for the World Cup game.
