Durand Cup 2026 fixtures announced as Kolkata Derby set to open tournament

Durand Cup is set to begin on 25th July
The most decorated and prestigious competition in Asia is the Durand Cup. As it is the 135th edition of the Durand Cup, a total of 24 teams will compete for the trophy. The 24 teams are divided into six different groups.
With the six groups already revealed earlier, it is the time for the fixtures of the Durand Cup 2026. The organisers have released the fixtures, with the Durand Cup set to run from 25 July 2026 to 23 August 2026.
But the fixtures have also brought an exciting twist. The two giants, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan SG have been drawn in Group A, meaning the Durand Cup 2026 is all set to kick off with a high stakes Kolkata Derby.

Kolkata Derby to kickoff Durand Cup 2026

This year there are a total of 24 teams, with five ISL clubs, Indian Football League sides, service teams, and new names like Defenders FC from Sri Lanka. The stage is set as East Bengal and Mohun Bagan SG have been drawn together in Group A, and as things stand, on July 25 the Kolkata Derby will commence the Durand 2026.
Along with Red and Gold, there are two other clubs, South United FC and CISF Protectors, who are also testing out their potential on the biggest stage.
All Group A games will be played in Kolkata. Talking about Group B fixtures, another Kolkata club, Mohammedan SC, who just faced relegation from ISL in the last season, is set to begin their campaign on 27th July at 19:00 IST against Baghpat FC at Kishore Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.
In Group C, Jamshedpur FC will begin their campaign on July 26 in Ranchi against Defenders FC from Sri Lanka. It will be a great clash for both of them as the Red Miners look to secure their first win. While SC Delhi face off against Jamshedpur in their first match on August 4th.
The clash between TRAU FC and Neroca FC will start Group D on 28th July, 2026. As the defending champions, NorthEast United FC begin their title defence against Bodoland FC in IG Athletic Stadium on 1st August.
The first quarter final will be played on 16th August at Birsa Munda Stadium, while the other three quarter finals will be played between July 16th and July 17th.
While Kolkata is set to host the first semi-final, Shillong’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will host the second one.
The final game of the Durand Cup 2026 is taking place on 23rd August 2026 in Kolkata, VYBK. The official timing of the match is yet to be declared.
