England vs Argentina: Kick-off time in India, USA, UK, Australia & more for FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final

England and Argentina are set for their sixth World Cup meeting.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is currently underway, with the final stages of the tournament, with the competition already producing some of the most memorable results that will be cherished for a long time.

England are set to take on Argentina in one of the historic fixtures in the World Cup history, with both nations clashing in a crucial semi-final clash at Atlanta Stadium in Georgia, USA.

England entered the competition with massive expectations, with the Harry Kane-led side targeting their first World Cup title since last winning it in 1966. Under manager Thomas Tuchel, they easily navigated through the group stages, topping the group, unbeaten.

They had a difficult path in the knockout rounds, managing a comeback victory against DR Congo to win 2-1 in the Round of 32. England then played the tournament co-hosts Mexico in the Round of 16, securing a hard-fought 3-2 victory. They confirmed their first semi-final appearance since the 2018 edition after defeating Norway 2-1 after extra time.

Argentina, captained by Lionel Messi, arrived as defending champions, aiming for their second consecutive title, becoming only the third nation to achieve the feat. They had a brilliant start to their campaign, finishing as table toppers with a perfect record.

They had a similar gruelling knockout pathway to England. Argentina first defeated Cape Verde 3-2 after extra time in the Round of 32. In the Round of 16, they scripted an incredible comeback victory, winning 3-2 after being 2-0 down until the 78th minute. They then defeated Switzerland 3-1 after extra time to qualify for consecutive semi-finals.

Both sides share a highly competitive history, having previously played 14 times, with England holding a massive edge. This will officially mark the sixth World Cup meeting between England and Argentina, with their most recent encounter being in 2002, with England securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Argentina.
