FC Bardez take on Sporting Goa in GPL season finale

Sporting Clube de Goa play host to FC Bardez Goa in their final match of the Goa Professional League which will be held at the Duler Stadium on Saturday.
Sporting Clube de Goa have secured 2nd position as they currently have 42 points three points ahead of Dempo who are in third position. SCG have lost only one match this season, they won their previous match against Vasco Sport Club 3-0 and will be looking to get another win out of this match.
On the other hand, FC Bardez are currently on the fifth position with 31 points two behind fourth placed Calangute. FCBG had a bad spell and went over a month without any win, but have got their grove back with two consecutive wins on their previous two matches..
FCBG team news : FC Bardez have some injures in the squad as Cavin Soares, Chatur Naik, Ashley Cardozo and Lanstan Afonso will be out due to knocks. Girish Naik will take Cavin’s place at right-back. Latesh Mandrekar will return while Richard Costa will be back from suspension.

FC Bardez captain Peter Carvalho spoke ahead of the match saying, “They are a good team, but we have a good side as well. We lacked behind due to our poor finishing. We can beat them. we have worked hard and we will show it tomorrow on the pitch.”
FCBG coach Armando added, “I am happy because our mission of knowing FC Bardez existence is fulfilled. People come to watch us play and that’s the greatest reward for us.
Sporting Clube de Goa are a seasoned team with a good squad, but my boys are doing well and I hope they show it tomorrow by playing good football."
