FC Bardez U-20s thumped 4-0 by UAE U-16s

FC Bardez Goa U-20 were drubbed 4-0 by the United Arab Emirates U-16s in a friendly played at Sesa Ground, Sanquelim earlier today. Both teams started the game well, but as it progressed the UAE took control by dominating possession. The first half saw FC Bardez concede three goals as they could not withstand the barrage of attacks from the visitors. The hosts only had effort on the goal in the first half as Ronil’s shot went wide of the post. In the second half the Bardez side put up a better showing but luck wasn’t on their side as Latesh couldn’t score from five yards. With the keeper beaten he saw his shot cleared off the line. The UAE scored their first goal in the 8th minute as Majed Abdul netted with a spectacular bicycle kick from inside the box. On 15 minutes Latesh had his first shot from distance but it went wide. In the 28th minute FC Bardez gave away a foul 25 yards from goal. Ali stepped up to take it and he hit the ball in the top right corner past the keeper. Nine minutes later they made it 3-0 as Abdul Aziz went on a solo run from the halfway line darting down the right flack before cutting into the box and smashing home. In the 46th minute FC Bardez had a superb attempt on goal as Latesh took the ball into the UAE box, he beat the keeper but the defender narrowed the angle. His eventual strike was cleared off the line. In the 55th minute Ahmes Usuf Fouzi latched on to a cross from the left and tapped the ball in to make it 4-0.
