FC Bengaluru United sign Ronaldo Oliveira for 2nd Division League
The 22-year-old forward has moved to the Karnataka-based side on a free transfer.
FC Bengaluru United have signed Ronaldo Oliveira on a free transfer for the upcoming 2nd Division League, Khel Now has learnt. A source closed to the development revealed, “Ronaldo has signed for FC Bengaluru United on a free transfer from Kerala Blasters upon expiry of his contract.”
Ronaldo Oliveira began his football career as a youth player at Salgaocar, representing Salgaocar in the 2015-16 U-18 League, scoring nine goals in the process. In 2017-18, he was promoted to the Salgaocar FC senior side and the following 2018-19 season saw the forward score 23 goals in the Goa Professional League. He also went on to represent Goa in the Santosh Trophy that season, where they lost the final against eventual champions Punjab.
Kolkata giants East Bengal roped him in 2019, where he played a few games in the Calcutta Football League (CFL) and the I-league before jumping ship to Kerala Blasters in February 2020 in a short term contract with option to extend. However, the southerners decided against retaining him for a longer period.
Ronaldo Oliveira was part of the Kerala Blasters reserve side in the 2nd Division League where he scored four goals in five games including a brace against FC Bengaluru United.
