FC Goa eased to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Mohun Bagan thanks to goals from Ferran Corominas and Manuel Lanzarote in a friendly match played at Jawaharla Nehru Stadium, Fatorda earlier this evening.
FC Goa started the match like a dream as their midfielder Manuel Lanzarote chipped the ball over the Bagan keeper Shibin Raj in the very 2nd minute and put his team in the driver's seat. Soon after, Ferran Corominas had a good chance to get his name on the scoresheet but his shot lacked the accuracy as he saw his shot miss the goal miserably. In the 21st minute an attacking move from the left flank saw Goa's Mandar Rao Desai cross the ball to Corominas who finished tthe chance with a good first touch and put Goa two up.

Goan lad Brandon Fernandes tried a shot at goal which missed by a whisker. At halftime the scoreboard read FC Goa 2-0 Mohun Bagan.
Post the resumption, Bagan looked to cut down the deficit but couldn't do much as the FC Goa defense was too tough to break down. Brandon had a shot at goal after a lovely one-two with Lanzarote, but his shot was well saved by the Bagan keeper. Liston could have got his name on the scoresheet afte Lanzarote fed him a lovely ball from the left flank, but he couldn't convert. Bagan's Naro Hari had a good chance to cut the deficit after a beautiful cross to him by Nikhil Kadam, but his volley sailed over the crossbar.
