Fatih Tekke’s team beat Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 on Sunday, with Mohamed Salah netting both goals in his maiden Super Lig appearance for the club.
Salah opened the scoring in the eighth minute by capitalising on a custodian error. Then regaining Trabzonspor’s advantage three minutes into the second half after Basaksehir levelled from the penalty spot.
The Egyptian’s impact gives Black Sea Storm a much different offensive threat than in the first leg. His ability to generate opportunities and attack defenders on the right should compel Ferencváros to be more hesitant about committing numbers forward.
