AIFF announce 33-member squad for Women's U-17 team national camp

The FIFA U-17 WWC will take place in India from October 11.
The India U-17 Women’s National Team has assembled in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, for a coaching camp as part of its preparation for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup that is set to be held in India later this year.
A total of 33 players have been called up to the camp that will see the Young Tigresses prepare for the upcoming challenge ahead under the coaching of Thomas Dennerby. The squad that has assembled in Jamshedpur features 12 players from the side that won the SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship title earlier this year. India beat Bangladesh and Nepal to clinch their maiden SAFF U-18 Women's Championship.
The India U-17 women's team will be training in Jamshedpur with logistical and infrastructural aid from the Government of Jharkhand and Tata Steel.
Meanwhile, recently FIFA announced Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai as the Host Cities for the U-17 Women's World Cup as well as confirmed the draw for the tournament will take place in Zurich on 24 June. The World Cup will take place in India from October 11 to 30.
Apart from hosts India, six countries – Brazil, Chile, China PR, Colombia, Japan and New Zealand – have been confirmed for the competition so far and are sure to feature in the draw on 24 June. With a total of 16 teams set to contest the tournament, spots are still up for grabs in several confederations.

Defenders: Salima Kumari, Sudha Ankita Tirkey, Astam Oraon, Purnima Kumari, Julia Devi Yanglem, Bhumika Bharat Mane, Kajal, Varshika, Kajol Dsouza, Ngashepam Pinku Devi, Hemam Shilky Devi.
Midfielders: Payal, Kalpana, Shailja, Moirangthem Ambika Devi, R Madhumathi, Loktongbam Shelia Devi, Babina Devi, Gladys Zonunsangi, Shubhangi Singh, Nitu Linda.
Forwards: Neha, Lavanya, Anita Kumari, Reshma, Vinothini, Dharshini, Laishram Rejiya Devi, Lynda Kom Serto.
