FIFA World Cup 2026 updated bracket after France vs Sweden in Round of 32

The Round of 32 stage of the FIFA World Cup will end on July 3.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout phase is underway, with the Round of 32 being played until July 3. Five teams qualified for the next stage by winning their respective matches, and one more team joined that line-up: France.
Les Bleus, considered one of the favourites to lift this year’s extended 48-team edition in North America, booked their place in the last 16 with a comfortable 3-0 win over Sweden. The 2018 world champions made a blistering start to the match, overwhelming the Swedish defence. However, a brilliant Jacob Widell Zetterstrom and the goalpost kept the score level.
Kylian Mbappe finally found the breakthrough with a wonderful finish in the 53rd minute. Bradley Barcola doubled the advantage eight minutes after the restart, putting Didier Deschamps’ side in complete control. Mbappe then made it 3-0 with a sweet finish in the 74th minute.
As a result of this win, France will face Paraguay in their Round of 16 clash. This match will take place on July 4 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
