Switzerland eliminated Algeria from the tournament.
Switzerland comfortably advanced to the round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2026 after defeating Algeria 2-0 in the round of 32. Breel Embolo broke the deadlock in the 10th minute of the game. Dan Ndoye doubled the advantage in the 46th minute.
