The Yellow Army lost against Kerala United in the first match last week.
Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Kerala Blasters played their second pre-season friendly match vs Kerala United on August 27, 2021. The match took place at the Panampilly Nagar ground in Kochi, Kerala at 4:00 pm. Kerala Blasters held Kerala United to a draw, with both teams scoring three goals apiece.
Blasters took an early lead via Sreekuttan VS, which was followed by Bujair equalising for United. However, the Hornbills' joy was short-lived, as Subha Ghosh capitalised on the goalkeeper's mistake to put the Yellow Army back in the lead.
Shafnad later pulled one back for KUFC, after which Adarsh scored their third goal. In the end, Ayush Adhikari found the back of the net for Kerala Blasters, which, in turn meant that that United had to be happy with a drawn result.
On August 20, Kerala Blasters lost to Kerala United by 1-0 in the first pre season friendly match.

Kerala Blasters' pre-season preparations
As of right now, the first-team squad of the Yellow Army is training under Vukomanovic and his team prior to the forthcoming 2021-22 season of the ISL. The players are all in a bio-bubble to prevent any potential outbreak of COVID-19 among them. The club are also following all the other protocol related to the pandemic.
All KBFC players completed a quarantine period before joining the team. With regular health check-ups scheduled for them, the club aims for a safe and healthy season.
Additionally, the club will play one more pre-season friendly - against Jammu & Kashmir Bank FC on September 3. The venue and kick-off times will be same as the first two games.

Kerala United's pre-season preparations
Kerala United have also started their pre-season camp, keeping in mind the I-League Qualifiers in September. While a total of 29 teams including KUFC have been nominated for the competition, only ten teams will be finalised.
The Malappuram-based outfit are expected to be one of those ten teams and have already done some impressive recruitments in the past few weeks.
