Farhaan Ali Wahid made his senior team debut for Fulham against Norwich

The English born Bangladeshi footballer, Farhaan Ali Wahid makes history as he becomes the second Bangladeshi to make a senior team appearance for a Premier League club after Hamza Ali Choudhary.

The 19-year-old winger made his debut in the pre-season game for former Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa’s Fulham FC against Norwich City FC on 25th July. However, goals from Anis Ben Slimane and Harry Darling guided Norwich to a 2-0 victory over Fulham FC.

Fulham FC will play more friendlies ahead of the 2026-27 season and it will be interesting to see whether Farhaan Ali Wahid gets more opportunity under head coach Alvaro Arbeloa.

Farhaan Ali Wahid, born on 9th December 2006, is an English born Bangladeshi footballer, who plays for the Premier League side Fulham FC.

Farhaan Ali spent his early part of the youth career at Chelsea before moving to Fulham FC at the Under-12 level. He is a versatile player who is capable of playing various roles in the forward line such as a winger, striker and even as an attacking midfielder if needed. Farhaan is an exciting prospect who plays as a left winger and loves one on one situations and taking on his defender. His ability to cut in and shoot the ball makes him an effective attacker.

The winger scored seven goals in seventeen matches for the U-18 Fulham side and also scored on his U-21 debut.

Just as he joined the U-21 Fulham side, Farhaan won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month Award in November 2025 for his three goal contributions in two games and was also shortlisted for the Player of the Season Award after scoring six goals and providing nine assists in the season.

The 19-year-old has now made his debut for the senior team in the pre-season game and it will be a key whether or not Alvaro Arbeloa trusts him going forward and gives him his Premier League debut.

Recently, the winger also agreed to represent Bangladesh national team, and it is expected that he will be part of the squad in the upcoming SAFF Championship 2026. This a very vital boost for the Bangladesh football team as they eye a positive start to the FIFA World Cup qualifiers next year.
