Alvaro Arbeloa will oversee his first game as Cottagers’ manager.
At his first press conference as Fulham’s manager, Alvaro Arbeloa gave mostly positive squad news ahead of Monday night’s derby at home against Chelsea, his first game in charge.
The former Madrid manager will be in charge of his job when Fulham meets Chelsea in their opening Premier League match of the new season.
Joachim Andersen, however, will not play for Arbeloa in the first match. Due to a two-footed lunge on a Bournemouth player on May 9 of last season, the Dane is currently serving the last game of a suspension.

Tom Cairney, the club’s skipper, will also be out since the midfield player had a minor operation on his left knee earlier this month.
“Tom is the only player who is not available. He’s still injured,” Arbeloa said.
“Maybe after the first international break, he will be ready to be back with the squad. All others are fit and ready for Monday.”
In their 2-1 friendly victory over Stuttgart, Arbeloa used Calvin Bassey, a left-sided player by nature, in Andersen’s place alongside Jorge Cuenca, suggesting how the head coach would arrange his centre-back partnership.
Meanwhile, the rest of the players are available to participate in the fixture as there isn’t a major injury crisis for Arbeloa, who will be looking to employ a strong lineup to face Chelsea.
Arbeloa is likely to see plenty of changes in his lineup ahead of their crucial Premier League match as he will be hoping to earn the important three points.
