Salgaocar Football Club registered a fluent 3-0 win over Panjim Footballers in the Goa Professional League match played at Nagoa Ground on Saturday. Saeesh Madan (35’), Godfrey Mascarenhas (71’) and Stephen Satarkar (90+ 1) were the goal scorers for the Green Brigades. Salgaocar FC were given a chance to take the lead at the half hour mark when Panjim Footballers player handled the ball in the box and the referee awarded straight to the spot. Salgaocar FC’s Saeesh stepped up and coolly converted the spot kick. They led 1-0 at the break. In the second half, Salgaocar FC doubled the account when Godfrey Mascarenhas, on seeing the keeper out of position, took a long shot from the midfield straight in the goal, to make it 2-0.
