During Chelsea’s 2-0 Premier League loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, Cole Palmer was sent off after receiving two yellow cards, the second for a late charge on Conor Gallagher.
However, with Palmer featuring against Manchester United, many wonder how the forward was allowed to play in the Premier League encounter.
According to the rules, a one-match punishment is automatically imposed for sending someone off with two yellow cards.
