Explained: How fans can attend FIFA World Cup 2026 final pre-match press conference?

Spain have reached the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
FIFA will hold the FIFA World Cup 2026 final press conference in front of paying spectators, who must pay more than $80 (£60) to hear FIFA president Gianni Infantino and the managers and players from the two finalists discuss Sunday’s match in New Jersey.
Major football finals, such as the FIFA World Cup and Champions League, are typically preceded by news conferences that are exclusively held in front of reporters and broadcasters the day before the game.
However, FIFA is eliminating the customary preview press conference the day before the game and only permitting a restricted number of spectators to attend the event on Friday, matchday two, at the Javits Centre in New York City.

Coaches and players from the other teams will be there, but spectators will only be permitted to watch and not ask questions of the competitors.
Fanatics stated in an event promotion:
“Fans will have the rare opportunity to see both finalists take the stage just days before the World Cup final, hearing directly from players and team representatives as they prepare for sport’s biggest match.”
“Special guests: Gianni Infantino and more coming soon.”
